Michael Siefke
Musician (drums, percussion) and Music educator
Classical drum course of studies in Köln and Stuttgart
Many years of practical experience in jazz and ethnic music in a variety of different cultures
Study trips to Asia and South America
Important teachers were:
- Cuba: Milian Gali, Los Papines
- Brasil: Gamu da Paz, Ricardo da Silva
- Guinea: Famoudou Konate
- Korea: Kim Dok-Su (Samul Nori), I Mae-Bang
- Japan: Yoshikazu Fujimoto (Kodo)
Instructed in TaKeTiNa rhythm method by Dr. Wolf Büntig and Reinhard Flatischler
Instructed in DRUMCIRCLE by Arthur Hull and Cameron Tummel
Taught an assortment of international courses in Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium, Lithuania, Poland, USA, China, Australia
Performed with Famoudou Konate, Trilok Gurtu, Jonas Hellborg, Nippy Noya and “Buschwerk”
Music instructor at the music school in Calw, as well as a freelance artist
